It was the chat room named "the Garden"
of AFF(Asia Friend Finder), where I met ChunYan for the first time. On
the day, as felt a little discouraged I intended to stay lurker, but she
talked to me from her. I recollect well how she behaved herself in the
room. She actively talked to anybody without making distinction between
male and female, like the master of the house who greets anyone of his
guests newly coming, but not like loading it over. My first impression
of her was "a girl very open-minded". We exchanged the mail address
and began our correspondence. She went to a Japanese school in the day
time and was learning computer science in evening session of a college.
She was temporarily working in a radio station
in a big city of China as a typist. She could access to the Web for the
very short breaks in her working time there, using only one machine connected
to the Internet in her working place. Near at hand with her end-of-the-term
examination, she determined to stop her job for a time (she was a little
tired) --- for about 2 months. She promised me, "I am sure to mail
you in December." Afterwards I continued to send mails to her mail
box never opened, but it was ceased before I knew... (M.N. 20/12/99)
