The Day Macao Returned

On December 19th(one week after the previous mail), a mail was forwarded from Yan. Her signature was shown at the end and was put down "I hope you will choose #2". Interrupting to read the mail, I took a bath first. It was obvious that the mail was going to tell me something important. When I returned from bathing, I began to read the mail aloud from the top. It was a short fable for children titled "Welfare, Success and Love". "So, who would you like to invite? ..."
After the issue of Sean's site, then it became impossible for me to write Yan directly and I barely forwarded to her some short mails addressed to Sean. This mail was the answer to them from her. Yan had selected "Love". That is, now it came to be the undeniable fact that she accepted me.
The second of the choices was "2. Invite love by sharing this story with all the people you care". I indeed wanted to stop this chained mail at me and to monopolize it, however it probably might be much better to forward it to Sean.
It was the day to be celebrated as Macao was restored from Portugal to China (exactly the preceding day of the day). Due to it, the radio station where she worked was running about busily with flying telegrams, but from the center of the whirlpool, she sent me 3 mails for all successively. (Similarly she sent 3 mails in succession on about the beginning of our correspondence. It effected a function to heat our mail-exchange...) (M.N. 27/12/99)
